St. Joseph College Seminary is the undergraduate level
seminary affiliated with Loyola University, Chicago. The college
seminary is designed to help young men who are interested in the
possibility of priesthood. The seminary is located on the Lake Shore
campus of Loyola University, which is just north of downtown Chicago.
St. Joseph College Seminary is owned and operated by the Archdiocese of
Chicago and we welcome students from other sponsoring dioceses and
religious communities. Any potential students who are interested in
discerning and exploring a call to the Roman Catholic priesthood during
their college years should first contact Father Gerald Walsh in the
